Permanent Honorary President Member : $200,000 / admission
Permanent Honorary Director Member : $100,000 / admission
Permanent Council Member : $50,000 / admission
Life Member : $3,000 / admission
Ordinary Member : $250 / annum
Ordinary (Senior) Member (aged 65 or above) : $130 / annum
Youth Member (age below 18) : $130 / annum
Visiting Member : $130 / month
Functions
  1. Handle membership application and enquiries.
  2. Display and sell souvenirs.

Application Procedures Membership can be applied in person, by authorized representative or by mail in accordance with the following procedures:
(A) NEW MEMBER
Please comply with items 1, 3, 4, 5 (if applicable)
(B) RENEWAL WITHIN 100 DAYS BEFORE OR AFTER EXPIRY OF MEMBERSHIP
Please comply with items 2, 4, 5 (if applicable)
(C) EXPIRY OF MEMBERSHIP EXCEEDING 100 DAYS
Same as a new member.

1. APPLICATION FORM
Please complete in block letters, the name must correspond with the Hong Kong Birth Certificate or Hong Kong Identity Card or Passport.

2. MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL REPLY SLIP (100 days before membership expires)
Please complete the required fields with any changes of personal particulars (if any).

3. IDENTIFICATION (An original or copy of any one of the followings)
  • Age below 11 - HK Birth Certificate or HK Identity Card or Passport
  • Age 11 and above - HK Identity Card or Passport.
4. PAYMENT METHODS (All fees paid are not refundable.  Please select one of the followings)
  • • Cash/ Octopus/ Credit Card (Visa/ Master/ Union)/ WeChat Pay/ AliPay; Membership Card can be collected forthwith
  • Cheque -  Membership Card can be collected 5 working days after clearance of the cheque.  Crossed cheque should be made payable to "South China Athletic Association".  Post-dated cheque is not accepted.
  • Octopus.
5. A STAMPED SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE (For mail application only)
Processing time for mail application normally requires approximately 2 weeks.  Only payment by cheque is accepted. (DO NOT MAIL CASH)  Our Association will not be held liable or responsible for any loss by mail.  Applicant must send all the required documents with a stamped self-addressed envelope to:

6. Online Application
Membership online application is avaliable by credit card payment(Visa/ Master).
Members may log on to the online system for facility booking and course enrolment.

Membership Card Issuance  A free physical membership card will be issued to any person who apply membership in person at Members’ Section upon successful.


Persons apply membership through the web system will receive an electronic membership card for the use of SCAA services upon successful. Members may request physical membership card via in person application at Members’ Section with charge of $20 for the first issuance. This card will be seen as the first replacement card.
Membership Card Replacement A Membership Replacement Card can be issued for the following reasons.
  • loss of Membership Card.
  • change of name (please produce relevant proof).
  • defacement of old Card.
    *The old Membership Card must be surrendered for cancellation simultaneously except lost Card. Members must apply in person in Members' Section together with the following documents:

    1. MEMBERSHIP CARD REPLACEMENT FORM
    Please complete the required fields.
    2. IDENTIFICATION (a original or copy of any one of the following)
  • Age below 11 - HK Birth Certificate or HK Identity Card or Passport
  • Age 11 and above - HK Identity Card or Passport.
    3. REPLACEMENT FEE
  • HK$20 for the first replacement card and double that for each replacement thereafter.

Members' Rights
  1. Able to nominate and vote at the election as stipulated in the Articles of the Association.
  2. Able to vote at the General Meetings as stipulated in the Articles of the Association.
  3. Able to make written suggestions.
  4. Eligible for the benefit of all kinds of sports and recreational facilities and activities subject to due payment of the respective charges as may from time to time be required.
  5. Able to be nominated/selected as representatives of the Association in open competitions.

Members' Obligation
  1. Abide by the Articles of Association, Rules, Regulations and By-laws of the Association or Articles of any other sporting bodies of which the Association is a member.
  2. Advocate the objects for which the Association was founded.
  3. Undertake the duties of being an Executive Member if elected.
  4. Represent the Association in open competitions.
  5. Uphold the good name of the Association.
  6. Co-operate with other members.
  7. Recommend friends to become members.

Refer to the above rates of "Fee"
  1. The Executive Committee shall have the right of refusing any application without giving any reason thereof. Any member who violates the Articles of Association or is injurious to the character or interests of the Association shall cease to be a member following the decision of the Executive Committee.
  2. The rights and privileges of a member shall be personal to himself; they are not transferable by his own act or operation of the law.
  3. Any member who tenders resignation is requested to submit a formal notification to the Association for cancellation of registration but the subscription paid is not refundable.
  4. Members changing their place of residence shall give due notice and furnish the Association with an address to which notices and letters may be sent.
